| Founded in 1919, the Los Angeles Philharmonic is recognized as one of the world's leading orchestras. The Phil has a rich tradition in the Southern California community, the concerts of which are attended by over one million audience members each season. After nearly forty years performing in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Philharmonic recently moved into the state-of-the-art, Frank Gehry-designed, Walt Disney Concert Hall. |

| To help cultivate a younger audience base, enhance its ticket sales ability, and to create a new platform for marketing, the Los Angeles Philharmonic recognized the need for a professional website where only a very basic site existed. The Philharmonic also had the need to have a Philharmonic site fully integrated in some manner with a seperate Hollywood Bowl site for seperate marketing of summer performances at that well-known outdoor concert venue. |

| Concentric Design provided project management over a one-year long design and implementation process, directing a programming team, database designers, and graphic artists, as well as functioning as the liaison between IT teams and corporate executives, assuring organizational needs were being achieved in the desired manner. |

| Concentric Design defined the project scope, budget and timeline, drove the marketing/art model toward the targeted audience, and defined the site menu structure/logical site mapping and hierarchy for an extensive amount of text, graphic and multimedia site content. |

| Concentric Design also interfaced with over twenty seperate Philharmonic departments in defining, creating, and assembling site content, and in clarifying offline corporate policies, procedures, and mission statements for online publication. |

| While the artistic style of the Philharmonic site has since been modified according to later season needs, the long-range vision and planning of Concentric Design while in the initial project design stages has enabled smooth site transitions and upgrades. The extensive content and database-oriented approach overseen by Concentric Design remains the backbone of today's, and tomorrow's Los Angeles Philharmonic site. |
